Namaste:

A traditional greeting used in India, spoken with a corresponding mudra with the palms together in front of the heart and head bowed slightly. A combination of two Sanskrit words: “Namah” (I bow respectfully to you) and “aste” (let there be). This spiritual greeting is deferential, cordial, and excuted with grace and sincerity. Namaste is a belief in a divine spark that exists in all life, essentially one soul recognizing another.

In Western yoga classes, we say Namaste at the conclusion of each practice to express reverence and to honor the respectful bond between student and teacher, and with the traditional spiritual significance , “The divine light within me sees, honors, and reflects the divine light within you.”

These recorded classes are posted to help you maintain your yoga practice and wellbeing at home or on the road. If so inspired, @Alison-Nicholas for Venmo payments.

Namaste!
